One of our beautiful exhibits.

Books

We still have copies of the Baylor County Heritage Cookbook .
They are only $10 and make a great gift or a great addition to your own collection of favorite recipes. This book also includes photos and historical information on the county.
Salt Pork To Sirloin, Volumes I & II are also available for $50 each. Both of these books are full of information on, not only the county, but the families that settled here. A lot can be learned about the people that called Baylor County home.
There are sections on Native Americans in the area, fossils, early businesses, churches, clubs, etc.
Salt Pork to Sirloin Volumes I & II are a good source of genealogical information for some families, also.
If you would like more information on any of the books listed above, you can stop by
The Baylor County Museum at 116 North washington St, Seymour, Texas

There is a group for the museum on Facebook, now, too. You can find the group by logging onto Facebook and searching for Baylor County Museum.

Taste & Tour was a success!

Thursday, March 26, 2009, the Baylor County Museum's "Taste & Tour" fundraiser was a huge success. Many people stopped by, visited, enjoyed a good meal, or got a take-out plate. We also sold several of the Baylor County Heritage cookbooks. We would like to thank everyone that bought a ticket or came by that night! We still have cookbooks available at the museum if you would like to purchase one. The museum can be reached at 940-889-6780 or baylorcomuseum@srcaccess.net
